Are You Solving or Band-Aiding?


Hey boo,

I’ve got a story that might hit close to home for many of us in this thing here called bizness.

Recently, I lost 27 pounds over about six months. Now, I'm not gonna play in your face and pretend it was all willpower and pilates.

Maybe it’s my metabolism. Oh no wait it’s definitely ✨semaglutide✨

It’s worked wonders, curbing my cravings and even affecting some long-standing habits. #workaddiction #dopaminechasing #selfmedicatinglikeaseasonofrealhousewives

But it got me thinking: why do we need this band-aid solution in the first place?

How did we let our food industry pump us full of addictive, processed junk?

It's all about that profit, right? Creating problems so we'll pay to solve them.

It’s essentially a band-aid solution to a much more sinister problem.

Which got me thinking (even harder) about our industries and the products or services we offer.

Are we truly solving problems, or just covering them up?

Think about it:

1. What underlying issues does your industry typically gloss over?

2. How might your competitors be offering “quick fixes” that don’t address root causes?

3. Most importantly, how can YOUR product, solution, or mission be the game-changer?

It’s time we stop letting surface-level solutions win. Your audience deserves better, and you have the power to deliver it.

Here’s my challenge to you:

  1. Identify the core problems your industry faces.
  2. Examine how your offering tackles these issues fundamentally.
  3. Communicate this difference clearly to your audience.

Let’s leverage our platforms to stand up for real, lasting change.

Be transparent about your approach.

Show how you’re not just treating symptoms, but clearing their roadblocks at the root.

You have the potential to be the solution your industry desperately needs. It’s time to step up and show out.
