Hey Reader!

I'm in heavy content and copy mode for my Stay Ready Course Bundlecoming in March, and I figured I'd let you into the not-so-sexy part (or is it the sauciest EVER?!)

Wanna know what makes copywriting 90% easier?

It's not buzz words or sexy psychology hacks. It's being ridiculously organized with your research. (NERD ALERT 🤓)

Let me share da sauce!

First, every page gets a color-coded label system in the header (yes, I'm that person 😉). I mean, how else are you supposed to highlight something for later and know exactly why you did it? I'll wait...

When I'm going through strategy calls, client interviews, or my Happy Copy Hour sessions, I break everything into clearly labeled sections so I (or AI) know exactly where to look for what.

Colors can indicate offers I'm referencing, messaging, action items, assets, or questions I need answering.

Sometimes I'll even listen to the recording while I review to catch those golden nuggets of insight. (Context matters!)

I use brackets and header sizes to highlight key points and add comments for copy or content inspiration. This saves my ass every time I need to reference a giant chunk of content for crafting sales pages, setting up automations, or planning launch strategy.

It's clear in the margins what purpose (who, what, why) this block of letters serves and makes combing for inspo pretty painless.

Like numbing cream for Botox... 💉

Here’s why it matters: Having an organized system means you can

  1. Delegate copywriting tasks confidently
  2. Spot patterns in your messaging
  3. Create templates based on what works
  4. Test different approaches you've collected throughout the year

Once you have this system down, you get more time to get nerdy about your own business instead of wondering what everybody and their mama is doing.

No more transcripts collecting dust in your Fathom library. No more email drafts left to rot on the cutting room floor.

Who knows -- your winning headline, tagline, or email could be sitting in the dungeon of strategy and client calls you call a Dropbox.
