β Ummm right, So I was driving yesterday, feeling some type of way about SMS marketing, and just had to PULL OVER to record my thoughts. (and grab my dunkin mobile order). Ya know, SMS is a lot like that close friend who knows exactly when to check in. It's personal in the best way. Start paying attention to the brands you actually love hearing from. For me, my skincare faves? yes please. Wisp reminders for my lady business? thanks boo. Just in time for PR trip numero dos. But is this SMS shizinit for every business. Well that depends, right?! If your people are living their best inbox life and making purchases through email, don't fix what ain't broken. If they're TikTok shopping creatures who convert straight from the FYP, respect their journey! Tea? SMS does cost more than your favorite seasonal latte habit. Email stays pretty budget-friendly until you're really scaling up, while texting your wonderful people can add up. Listen, and unless you running for congress or got a super PAC then you ain't got the people (or the coins) to be sending looong a$$ text messages on the regs. PLUS images? In this timeline!? Stand down! Honestly, I think SMS shines the brightest for many as part of their retention and engagement strategy. Not so much on the acquisition side. (some industries and price points more than others of course) Maybe you connect initially through that perfect TikTok moment, but it's the thoughtful text reminder when they're about to run out of their favorite product that keeps them coming back to you again and again. Food for thought... Speaking of eating (and copy strategies that ATE)... DON'T FORGET! I'm hosting my "QUICK COPY THAT CONVERTS" workshop TOMORROW at 1PM ET, and I'd love to see you there! Reader!!! SoOoOo... I went on an Instagram break a few weeks ago. (because sometimes you just need to NOT see another infographic about how to "show up authentically" while filtering your face to the gawds). When I finally emerged from my social media cave, TikTok was HOT(and on the verge of collapse JK JK), and I dove in headfirst. And CHILD. Let me tell you who/what/where tickles my brain's fancy: Lady Grayy Wigs. Not because I needed a new 'do (though their wigs are GIVING). But because...
Hey Reader, Sound familiar? "I've been procrastinating on my website copy for MONTHS. With your framework, I wrote the whole thing in ONE WEEKENDβand I've already had three people book discovery calls directly from my site!" That message from Jessica, a wellness coach and mom of two who runs an online business while working full-time, as a chiro, made my whole month. Jessica was stuck in a cycle that might sound familiar: π€ Starting her website copy, then scrapping everything and starting...
HeyReader, Is your website secretly sabotaging your bag? Iβve reviewed maybe a hundred websites (definitely 50+) at this point for seasoned entrepreneurs and side hustlers and I noticed the same expensive "oopsies!" over and over again. Today, Iβm sharing the top 3 website copy mistakes that are silently killing your conversions (and what to do instead). MISTAKE #1: FOCUSING ON FEATURES INSTEAD OF TRANSFORMATION Most website copy reads like a resume: βI do this, I offer that, Iβm certified in...
