Reader!!!! So you scored tickets to Bad Bunnyâs summer residency in Puerto Rico?! ICONIC. Maybe youâre still deciding if your bank account can handle it? Either way, this email is a little out of the ordinary because Iâm NOT a vacation vlogger. But honestly, how could I possibly gatekeep how to do P effing R on a budget that doesnât make you stress-eat airport Auntie Anneâs? QUICK BACKGROUND: I went to Puerto Rico in April for my "avoid the crash-out" vacay and wanted to share all my tips before you head there for Bad Bunnyâs July/August shows. I used to be an Airbnb girly, but Iâve found recently (especially in the US and Puerto Rico) that itâs just not worthwhileâthe cost doesnât typically equal the value. And it's not doing anyone any favors in this economy. I like multiple living spaces, cooking fresh morning and lunch meals, and having more room than 400ft to work with. So letâs get into the JUICY BITS of what it cost me to spend four nights/four days in Puerto Rico (and how you can apply this to your Bad Bunny concert trip)! TIMING IS EVERYTHING â°Okay, so if youâre headed to see El Conejo Malo this summer, youâre going during high seasonâbut that doesnât mean you canât be strategic! For those who arenât concert-bound, February through April is honestly the easiest AND best time to go. Itâs lowkey off-peak, prices drop dramatically, and for us snow birds in New York, itâs when we have winter break and spring break. BAD BUNNY TIP: If youâre planning around the residency shows, try extending your stay by a few days on either end. Flights mid-week are often cheaper than weekend flights, and youâll get to experience Puerto Rico beyond just the concert madness! ACCOMMODATIONS đRight off the bat, my accommodations were ONLY $250 for four nights in Palmas del Mar in Humacao â a gated community with condos, timeshares, residences and the Wyndham Beach Resort and Golf Club. HOW I DID IT: I used Kindred for home swapping stays (don't worry you don't always have to swap to stay], which is literally saving my wallet and my sanity. [KINDRED REFERRAL LINK HERE - get 5 free nights once you're accepted!] WHEN YOU WANT THOSE RESORT VIBES đšIf youâre craving that all-inclusive beach club energy (because sometimes a girl needs to be CATERED TO), I leverage the Resort Pass app. A day pass can cost you anywhere from $15 to $200 depending on the experience. I booked a regular day pass which means I got access to all the pools, restaurants, and the beach. Plus, coming during off-peak means no fighting for chairs! PRO TIP: Donât tell the Wyndham I told you this, but you can totally sneak in your own food. Those cooler bags from Igloo that look like beach bags? GAME CHANGER. No shade, but resort food can be lackluster and expensive, and why would I pay $28 for a dry wagyu burger when I could be eating actual Puerto Rican yum yums?! TRANSPORTATION âď¸đI took a red-eye from JFK to San Juan (10:50 PM flight that got me in just before 3 AM -- about $150 each way plus tax). ESSENTIAL TIP: No matter where youâre staying in Puerto RicoâSan Juan, Aguadilla, Ponce, Humacao, WHEREVERâRENT A CAR. I donât care what anyone says, itâs cheaper and easier to get around. Yes, thereâs a lil traffic, but Puerto Rico is a pretty small island, and you can see most of the big attractions in 3-4 days if you have wheels. Rental car cost: $180 - $260 (with taxes and deposit) for the full stay (or a week). ACTIVITIES & FOOD đĽđWhen I landed at 3 AM and couldnât check in until 4 PM, I booked a day pass at the Sheraton Casino and Hotel in San Juan to catch a little snooze, get some pool time, and grab a piĂąa colada. Day passes usually give you discounts on food ($15 credit = free piĂąa colada + tip!) and I scored some AMAZING shrimp empanadas. I also hit up the Bacardi Factory for their mixology class ($80) which I HIGHLY recommend. You get a baby tour, a mixology class, and multiple drinks. I learned how to make a mojito the right way, and met some cool people there. Perfect for a romantic trip but also a great little mingle vibe for the solos! TOTAL BREAKDOWN đ°
TOTAL: Approximately $700 for a 4-day, 4-night trip to paradise! BAD BUNNY CONCERT PREP đ¤đ°If you're headed to the residency shows, here's what you need to know:
FINAL THOUGHTS đCould I have spent less with more travel hacks? Probably. But I'm not trying to make my vacation a whole project. I need flexibility and ample room to just be. Don't forget to use my referral links above so you can have the perfect Bad Bunny concert vacation without emptying your wallet! I'm already planning my next Benito adventure for when he tours Brazil and Spain, and will 100% be using Kindred again because your girl loves a good budget travel moment that doesn't FEEL budget. Yo no soy tu novio, pero los besitos te los doy! đ Christina Torresâ P.S. If youâre planning a Puerto Rico trip and have questions, just hit reply! My family is from Bayamon/CataĂąo area, so Iâve got the local tea! P.P.S Over 25 years old? Avoid La Placita like the plague. No for real. It's not worth the Snooki handcuffs you'll end up in at the end of the night.

Reader? Have you ever tried defining your brand voice and ended up with some snooze-worthy adjectives like âprofessional,â âwarm,â or âauthenticâ?
